Journeyman Skill Improvement

Taught by our skilled JATC instructors, Journeyman Continuing Education classes are a great way to learn a specific electrical skill in order to get ahead in the industry. They are also a great way to prepare for any licenses you may need to obtain. Courses are offered in the Spring and Fall each year. All classes begin at 5:00 p.m. and are from 2 ½ - 3 hours long. A (non-refundable) class fee of $25.00 (Money Order only) will be due the first night of class--do not mail. The class fee structure works on multiples of $15. Safety classes are $15, Residential 7-week classes are $30, Full Semester classes are $60.  Everyone must sign up for classes through their Trade School account. They do not accept money orders for classes. Continuing Education credits will be given for all code related classes to suffice renewals of jurisdictional licenses. If an individual misses no more than one class, they will receive their Certificate of Completion. Class sizes are limited and will be filled in the order that registrations are received. Skill improvement training is essential in order for all electricians, technicians, and their respective contractors to keep our competitive edge in the electrical and telecommunication industries.
