Ratification Vote Results
Regarding the Inside and Residential Agreements recently ratified.
Brothers and Sisters,
IBEW Local 26 is pleased to notify each of you that The Council on Industrial Relations (CIR) has made their decision regarding both the Inside Wireman’s Agreement and the Residential Agreement. The Local received notice from the council today May 31, 2024 at 10:55 AM, at the same time as NECA.
The decision upholds both contracts as ratified by the membership on all parts. The language that was challenged (Item 25) was the language regarding overtime, specifically double time after ten hours. During the hearing NECA and the Local had the opportunity to discuss the language and how it was reached. CIR heard both sides, deliberated and decided in favor of the Local.
The contract language goes into effect on Saturday Morning (June 1, 2024), the wage and benefit increases go into effect Monday June 3, 2024 as noted in the wage sheets.
I would like to thank all the brothers and sisters who sent in suggestions and congratulate all on the new contract.
I would also like to thank the membership for the patience shown during this unprecedented process.
Documents are uploaded onto the website and the Unions Get It app under Secure Documents.
Wage sheets and contract changes will be sent to all contractors immediately.
