Operation paperback
We collect books (no romance novels please) and send them to our military and their families.

Pull tabs
We are collecting the pull tabs from soda and beer cans which go to help pay the parents transportation to and from the Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia, which treats children at no cost.

Medical Equipment Program
Which lends medical equipment to our members and their families at NO COST for as long as you need them. Contact Susan Flashman at 301-277-5823 or the Union Hall 301-459-2900.

2019 Trips/Events

The 2019 Cruise is SOLD OUT. This cruise will leave on April 6th from Baltimore and return on April 18, 2019. It is a 12-day cruise to St. Kitts, St. Croix, Antigua, St. Lucia and St. Martins. For the wait list, please call Brother Rick Warner at 240-472-0438.

May 14th is the MYSTERY TRIP and lunch. Yes, this is a mystery bus trip which includes lunch and leaves from the Union Hall. Cost is $85.00 per person. 

July 18th is a trip to visit the Amish Market and then go to Suicide Bridge for a Crab Feast. Leaves from LU26 and cost is $70.00 per person. 8 Seats left.

Delaware Park on August 19th. The cost is $35.00; and then you receive $30.00 in playing credit. Lunch is on your own at the casino. For those who may never have gone- NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! Call Rick as soon as you read this.(Departs from LU26 back parking lot.)

October 19th is a train trip on the Wilmington and Western Railroad and includes lunch. Leaves from LU 26 and the cost is $100.00 per person. This is SOLD OUT with a 7-person waiting list, but add your name if you still want to go.

November 6th is the Christmas Show at Sight and Sound and includes Lunch. Cost is normally $125.00 per person, but this trip it will be $115.00 per person. SOLD OUT, there is a waiting list.

November 14th and 15th we will be going to Wheeling, West Virginia. THIS TRIP IS ALREADY SOLD OUT! Brother Warner has a waiting list started.

May 12, 2020 (Yes, he said 2020) is the next trip to Sight and Sound. This year the subject is Queen Esther and the show will be at 3:00 pm and the trip includes lunch. THERE ARE 10 SEATS LEFT! Yes, May 12, 2020!

Brother Warner said he signed a contract for the 2020 Cruise less than a week ago and already he has very few cabins left. The cruise will be on Celebrity Cruise Line. It leaves on Sept 15 and returns on the 26, 2020. The quoted prices do not include airfare. Brother Warner explained it is too early to price the airfare, so you may either book your own flight, or book with Brother Warner when he finds out his prices. It will be going to the Iberian Peninsula for 11 nights. It will stop in Amsterdam, Holland; Brussels; Paris, France; Bilbao/ Cartagena/ Málaga, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Gibraltar (British Overseas Territory); and Rome, Italy. More details later. If you are at all interested, please contact Brother Warner ASAP to let him know you are interested. Brother Warner said that you will proceed to the airport in Rome to return home. However, if anyone is interested in staying in Rome for a few days, he can make hotel and different flight arrangements. This will be another European adventure for the Retired Members Club. (240-472-0438) Additionally, if you have a balcony cabin you will have free insurance and 2 of these 4 items: 1) Prepaid Gratuities 2) a $300.00 cabin credit (one per cabin, not per person) 3) Free WiFi or 4) their Drink package.
The limited cabins are $4,981.61 for two in a non-obstructed balcony and $4,721.76 for 2 in an obstructed view balcony. He explained that the obstructed cabins overlook the life boats. Brother Warner explained that a deposit of $450.00 per person is required to hold a cabin. He added that there is a male retiree who is looking for someone to share a cabin.
